The bus stop outside the senior center has no bench, but it has a steady rhythm. Riders arrive early for medical appointments, grocery trips, and the simple reassurance of knowing they can get home without asking someone for a favor.

Transit advocates say route coverage is only the first measure of access. Frequency, shelter, and clear information matter just as much when a missed bus can turn a short errand into a full afternoon outside.

A service review this summer will collect rider feedback before the next schedule is drafted. Several riders said they hope the process pays attention to the trips that are not visible during rush hour.
